So far as MES has more students attending the classes and they sometime take off massively and that’s because we didn’t have enough space for their shoes so we tried to solve the problem by building another new shoe shelf and combined the two old ones together to make it bigger and now we have two shoe shelves. The shoe shelves are not only keeping their shoes tidy, also keep them safe from the stealers.
VOLUNTEERS AND VISITORS OF THE WEEK
Last week, MES was visited by Ian from England. Ian knew MES from a friend who is a guitar student at MES. Ian can play guitar, though his first instrument is trumpet and he learnt the student a song. Next is Mr. Lucas and his girlfriend from France. Mr. Lucas is a 10 year-experienced drummer and he had been in Luang Prabang for a few days. He came to MES every day to teach drums. MES organized extra classes for him. Sadly he ran out of visa and had to leave Laos. Lucas has done a wonderful work for MES students and now we have 5 students that can play really good basic drums and how to read basic notes. MES hope to have another drummer volunteer soon to continue the lessons for the students. MES also had some friend visitors.
